Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Catamount was a progressive, mostly-instrumental alternative metal band that was active between 2003 and 2007. During that time, they released an EP, entitled "Seven Million Years Too Late," and a full length album, entitled "Public Displays Of Private Delusion." Catamount’s influences included Cave In, Mastodon, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, early King Crimson, Isis, and The Mars Volta.
