Delyriüm is a progressive metal band from Albacete in Spain. Delyriüm was created in 2006 by Art Rodriguez and Roberto Cappa to pursue musical interests that had no place in the groups to which they belonged at the time. In 2012 Delyriüm was proclaimed winner of the XXV edition of the Alberto Cano Memorial Modern Music Contest, organised by the Youth Council of the City of Albacete. The first prize was to record an album along with a tour of Spain that included a minimum of 10 concerts and also a promotional campaign. Thanks to this prize, Delyriüm released its first full-length album, Quaerens Utopiam in 2013. On this album may be seen influences from bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X , Angra and Adagio, alongside more extreme influences from bands like Opeth and Textures. The technical difficulty is a constant in his songs, but always accompanied by a maintained harmonies and melodies. Delyriüm delivers ten songs with Castilian and English lyrics and a powerful sound that incorporates elaborate orchestral arrangements, aggressive riffs , solos and complex convoluted vocal lines. http://www.youtube.com/user/DelyriumBand
