Benevolence is a progressive metal band from Marshfield in central Wisconsin. Benevolence was formed in the summer of 2012 through the merger of two local bands, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid and Adamant. The band's debut EP, Axon, was released in the autumn of 2012, followed by the EP Synpase, released in the summer of 2013. Benevolence cites a number of bands as influences, includng Protest The Hero, Between The Buried And Me, Born Of Osiris, Divine Heresy, Gojira, Mudvayne, August Burns Red, Tool, Scale the Summit, Behemoth, All Shall Perish and The Contortionist.
