Edge of a Circle is a progressive metal band from Lund in Sweden formed in 2004. Drummer David Eriksson and bass player Andreas Mårtensson, both living in Lund in Sweden, decided to form a band with melodic and progressive influences. After searching for other band members and auditioning several musicians, they finally found the perfect additions in singer Robert Nilsson, guitar player Linus Abrahamson and keyboard player Sebastian Berglund. The band immediately began to write new songs and rearrange some of the older ideas. After completing the band's line-up, they decided to expand their musical influences in order to reach a wider audience. Being hungry for live performances, the band entered a "battle of the bands" event – the Emergenza Festival 2012 in Sweden, where the voice of the audience made itself heard by sending the band all the way to the finals, with the highest amounts of votes in the country.
