GOSPEL was a progressive metalcore band from Brooklyn, New York with former members of Helen Of Troy. The State Secedes and I Am The Resurrection, consisting of Adam Dooling (vocals, guitar), Sean Miller (bass), Jon Pastir (guitar, keyboards) and Velvet "Vinny" Roseboom (drums). Mixing 1970s progressive rock and psychedelia with hardcore punk and metal, Gospel released one album "The Moon is a Dead Planet" on Level Plane Records in 2005, produced by Converge's Kurt Ballou at God City Studios. They disbanded in December of 2006.
