Estigia is a progressive metal band from Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. Formed in 2003 from members of the bands Paradox and Cuarto Obscuro, they recorded and released their debut demo El Arbol De La Ira (The Tree Of Wrath) in May 2004. Later that year Estigia signed a contract with the Chilean arm of progressive rock label Mylodon Record and released its debut full-length; Profundos Mares. Musically Estiga mix eclectic compositions, complex harmonies, melodic riffs and fast songs, drawing on neo-classical, power metal, progressive rock and symphonic metal.
