HALCYON is an instrumental Progressive Metal project from Sydney, Australia, currently existing as a duo of Plini (guitars) and Allen (keyboards and piano). The music is heavily jazz influenced with an occasional Thrash or Post-metal outbreak and touches of 'djent' in the guitar tone. The band debuted with the self-released EP 'Pastures', a full 41 minutes long and a very professional first outing from this band, showing a keen eye for composition as well as atmosphere and functional virtuosity.
