Fortress Under Siege is a progressive power metal band from Athens in Greece. Fortress Under Siege was formed in 1992 by Fotis Sotirpoulos (Guitars) and John Vasilakis (Guitars) after the break-up of heavy metal band Gladiators. Adding Michael Smeros on vocals and Nick Dedes on drums alongside guest musician Aris Matheakakis on bass they started recordings their debut. Initially the debut was to be released as a tape EP under the title "Moments..." but was finally released in 1996 as a self-titled mini CD through Metal Mad Music. In the meantime Vangelis Hatziandreou (Bass) and George Georgiou (Keyboards) had joined the band to help promote the release live. During September 2010 Fortress Under Siege finished mixing and mastering its new album, The Mortal Flesh Of Love. On March 22, 2011, Fortress Under Siege released its first digital single, "Deeds Of All Disgrace. And on June 4th, 2011, the band’s first official video clip "Blind Faith" was released, produced by Progressive Vision Group and directed by Bob Katsionis.
