Formed in 2008, Gnosys is a progressive metal band from León in Guanajuato, Mexico. Gnosys was originally formed as an album project and later as a real group playing its own music live. In 2011, Gnosys released its first album, Unioum: The Parallel Universe, recorded at Control+Z Studios (Mexico) and mastered at JailHouse Studios (Denmark) by Tommy Hansen. Gnosys' stated influences include Symphony X, Dream Theater, Circus Maximus, Rhapsody, Dreamscape and Firewind.
