Reaper started in 1984 when Matthias Kraft (bass) and Daniel Zimmermann (guitar, vocals since 1995) first met to play some music together and lead through various line-up changes to the recent unholy alliance with Jan Breede (drums) and Benni Meike (guitar). Obviously such deeds can’t stay in secrecy for long so Reaper consistently released documents of their obsession. Their latest outputs were “Gardens Of Seth” (2009) and their contribution to the “Masters of Cassel” sampler (2006). Besides they’ve always followed their inner compulsion live on stage whenever possible, leaving parents, spouses and ministers in grief and despair and their followers in an almost religious kind of ecstasy.
