Cosÿns is a progressive metal / shred project from Greensboro in North Carolina, formed in 2006. This project utilizes various musical interpretations of Morse Code to convey lyrics within their respective instrumental pieces. Derek Corzine had an idea one day to incorporate Morse Code into instrumental metal. The different ways to interpret it can range from triplets and open chords on guitars, pulsing bass, jazz fusion-type solos, rhythmic drum patterns, etc. All the "lyrics" reflect faith in God, and are derived from the Holy Scriptures.
