MAMMOTH is a post sludge metal band from Christchurch New Zealand, formed in 2006. Between 2006 and 2008 the band concentrated on writing and recording what would become their debut EP, gaining and losing band members on the way. The band released their self-titled debut on February 2009. The band cites Isis, Jakob and Cult of Luna amongst their most important influences.
