Kerion is a French symphonic power metal band, formed in 1997. They started out as an instrumental prog band under the name Kirlian, but in 2002 they found singer Flora Spinelli and changed their name to Kerion. They also shifted their music to a symphonic power metal style. In 2003 and 2005 they released two demons, titled Conspiracy of Darkness and The Last Sunset, which were both conceptual works based on an epic fantasy story written by Chris Barberi. With their official full length debut Holy Creatures Quest, they finished their initial story, so for their 2008 album The Origins, the first album released by their current label Metalodic Records, they did a rearranged version of their early lyrical concepts, and combined that with their updated sound. With the release of 2012's Cloudriders Part 1:Road to Skycity, they started a new concept, also written by Chris Barberi. This time they wanted to update their sound with more electronic elements, and the album also features many guests, including Phil Giordana from Fairyland.
