Deception Theory is an American metalcore band from Staten Island in New York and from Sicklerville in New Jersey. Formed in 2006, Deception Theory released its debut album, How to Stop an Exploding Man, in 2012. The band currently comprises Jonathan Sheola (vocals), Patrick Christopher (guitars), Josh Cruz (guitars), Vinny Keohane (drums) and Steve Bacon (bass).
