RAIN DELAY is a gothic progressive doom metal band from Belgrade, Serbia. Formed in 2003 initially as a three-piece acoustic project, Rain Delay released their debut album, As I Bequeath My Yesterday, in 2005. This album positioned the band as a promising and daring young doom/black band. Rain Delay’s sophomore album, We Forget, from 2008 represented a very listenable, almost radio-friendly, sui generis form of fusion metal, rooted primarily in melodic death/doom. The release was followed by appearances at numerous concerts and festivals, in over 40 towns in their homeland, such as the famous EXIT festival in Novi Sad (2006 & 2009). Rain Delay was the opening act for bands such as Katatonia, Charon and Antimatter and shared the stage with Moonspell, Deathstars, Sabaton and Kathaarsys. Next the band wrote the music for a cult Serbian movie “Who the fuck is Miloš Branković?”, which premiered on 36th Belgrade film festival – FEST (2008). Rain Delay also received numerous awards and recognitions, including 1st prizes won at Gitarijada Ratkovo (Ratkovo 2009), Moto Fest "Memorijal Goran Ostojić" (Jagodina 2010) and CMOK Fest (Crvenka 2010). In 2011 Rain Delay released their “masterpiece” album, Slumber Recon. {Biography edited from http://www.facebook.com/RainDelayBG}
