SEVEN NAUTICAL MILES is a sludge metal band from Norrbottens län in Sweden. Formed from the ashes of thrash band Machinery of Suffering, they began under the name OCEANS HAVE NO MEMORY and released a demo before signing to Sound Devastation Records and changing their name to Seven Nautical Miles. Playing post-sludge metal in the vein of Isis and Pelican, Seven Nautical Miles released their debut album Every Ocean Reversed in September 2008.
