Slagduster is a progressive metal band from Canada. The band’s debut album, “Nature. Humanity. Machine.”, was released in November 2010 on Waterlow Audio. Hailing from small-town Grand Forks British Columbia and following lengthy stints in previous bands, four driven local musicians united in January 2010 to form the band they always wanted to be in; Slagduster creates bone-crushing yet intricately detailed, thought-provoking music. Mixing technical riffs, heavy grooves, off time rhythms, epic build-ups and unique interludes, an emphasis is always kept on the melody, fluid song structure and raw feeling, while maintaining a brutal metal sound. Slagduster is not easily labeled in today`s music scene. No sissy vocals or cliché trendy mainstream non-sense. Period. But, Slagduster has been compared to the likes of Gojira, Born Of Osiris, Strapping Young Lad, and Sikth.
