Carpe Diem is a progressive metal band from Mexico City, Mexico. Formed in 2000, this instrumental band released their first demo recording in 2004. Carpe Diem began when two members of the heavy metal band Alioth, Luis Camacho and Servando Miranda together with the Mystical Dreams bass player Guillermo Rivera decided to start a progressive metal side project. Once Alioth split up though, Carpe Diem became a band in its own right.
