Countervela is a progressive metal band from Londonderry / Derry, Northern Ireland. Formed in 2005, Countervela blends samples, hard riffing guitars, gentle atmospheric piano, and both clean and shouted vocals within their music. Countervela has toured Ireland multiple times, and continue to collaborate with other local metal bands. Their sound is marked by blending of styles, utilizing both beauty and violence. To date, they have produced two EPs and are working on their debut album.
