Xiom is a progressive death metal band from Chemnitz in Saxony, Germany. Originally formed as Argus, the band found some success in the DDR as the thrash metal band Moshquito. In 2011, Moshquito changed its name to Xiom (a play on the word Axiom) and while retaining elements of its thrash metal sound, moved in a progressive death metal direction. In December 2011 Xiom released its debut album, Glorious Sin.
