Lunar Explosion project was born in Vicenza, Italy, in August 2010 from Mattia Sisca (guitar), Paolo Ferraro (guitar) and Raffaele Smaldone (voice) 's minds, who are accompanied by Andrea Grespi (drums) and Riccardo Bortolaso which has been replaced by Sebastiano Zanotto (bass) in 2012. The band offers a Neoclassical, Progressive, Power Metal, which comes from each member's influences; this genre is full of virtuosities, changes, quick solos and a tecnique with a marked high and charismatic voice.The group writes pieces where keyboard and harpsichord appear, too, by harmonizing phrasings: that's the band's strong point. Lunar stand out for their live stage presence; their look is commited by clothing, which highlights each members's personality, by assuring an incisive show. After publication of "Beyond the Demo...2011" Lunar Explosion has reached a lot of positive feedbacks between the Berlin's Metal and Germany scene and for this reason they have been contacted by the most well-known and famous Metal Club of Berlin, the Blackland in order to play a concert on the 17th of September 2011. Then the band played in HAMBURG and BOTTROP (Germany) receiving a great success in the season 2012. Because of this great starting They have been chosen by MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO as support band of his italian show in the North of Italy on Friday 9th March 2012, the “no. 1 Shredder of all time and the world’s fastest guitarist and the most blazing guitarist on the planet, the inventor of the 4 neck Guitar”, defined with the exact words from the most important musical webzine of world (Guitar One Magazine, Guitar World Magazine, Total Guitar Magazine UK). The synergy between Lunar Explosion and Michael Angelo Batio has been so positive that the concert is finishing with a song played together. Michael Angelo Batio has appreciate a lot our music and our diligence. The appreciation by the American guitarist has been so big that on the 6th of June 2012 L.E. were again the support band of Michael Angelo Batio. L.E. were also the support band of Myrath in their tournèe 2011 in Italy. In these concerts L.E. played in the most important places in Italy; places in which bands like Dire Straits, Yes, Joe Cocker, Skid Row, Steve Winwood (Ex Traffic), Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane), Steve Lukather (Toto), Vinnie Moore (UFO), Richie Kotzen, Mike Stern, Le Orme, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso played. Soon after They took part in the "UNIVERSE OF METAL FESTIVAL" in the 16th of December 2011, in this concert L.E. opened for the Italian bands Extrema e Domine who played in GODS OF METAL 2008. In the MetalWall Festival L.E. played in a concert where White Skull were headliner. After the two concerts in Germany L.E. started the first records until August of 2012 of their first album. DENNIS STRATTON, the legendary Iron Maiden guitarist, accepted to make a concert with L.E. as his support band on the 4th of January 2013 in Vicenza. After their concert D.S. and L.E. played together the songs that made Iron Maiden the most famous band in the world. BLAZE BAYLEY, the ex frontman of IRON MAIDEN, in front of the successes of the band accepted to play togheter with L.E.X. in a unique concert on the 24th of May in Vicenza. The Italian band played with Blaze the most important songs of his period with Maiden and other famous songs of the English band. On Sunday 30th June 2013, the band Lunar Explosion will share the stage of the Sun Valley Metal Fest with ADAM BOMB (U.S.A.) and Elvenking in Gallio (VI). Now L.E. finish to record their first full lenght "LUNAR EXPLOSION" mixed in the Elnor study of Milan from Mattia Stancioiu (Labyrinth and Vision Divine) and burned in the Massive studio of Milan. LUNAR EXPLOSION sign with the label SCARLET RECORDS for the release of their first album "Lunar Explosion". The album will be available starting from November 25, 2013. On the 8th and 9th of November 2013 the band Lunar Explosion played in the best clubs of SOFIA and PLOVDIV in BULGARIA where the preview presentation of their debut album had a great success. For the video , Lunar Explosion are proud to be able to use an important and historical location in which no band has never had the ability to record official material for a "video clip". It is the "VERONA ARENA", the location was given to Lunar Explosion in a completely unique and extraordinary way , thanks to the huge recognition the band has achieved at the regional level also appearing on several newspapers , and thanks to the hard work, skills of managerial work of our guitar player / manager Mattia Sisca who has repeatedly collaborated with the authorities at interregional level in the industry of music event. KANE ROBERTS from California, after listening the work of the band, accepted to play with Lunar Explosion on the 30th May 2014 for an unique show in Vicenza. He is the legendary ALICE COOPER guitarist, who collaborated with KISS, STEVE VAI, SEBASTIAN BACH and played in ROCK STAR movie soundtrack. Best COOPER'S and KISS successes will be played with him, and obviously L.E. songs.
