Phinehas is a Christian metalcore band from La Mirada in California, formed in 2001. Phinehas formed in 2001 in La Mirada, CA, near Los Angeles. The band went through a few lineup changes before settling on Sean McCulloch (vocals), Jason Combs (guitars), Ryan Estrada (bass) and Lee Humerian (drums). The band recorded and independently released a self-titled EP on December 15, 2009. After the release, the band went on a 10-day tour before beginning work on their debut album Thegodmachine. After finishing production of the album, the band looked at many labels, before being signed to Red Cord Records in 2011. Thegodmachine was released on September 30, 2011 through Red Cord, and received acclaim from music critics. Most of the praise came from the band's "uncompromising blast of metalcore" and the thrash metal-style riffs. The band toured extensively to promote the album, including a spot at Cornerstone 2011,with bands such as P.O.D, For Today, Close Your Eyes and Living Sacrifice among others. In early 2013 the Bridge Between EP was released, featuring updated versions of songs from their self-titled EP and acoustic renditions of songs from Thegodmachine. Shortly after the release of The Bridge Between, Phinehas began work on their second studio album. On May 17, the first single, "Fleshkiller", was released along with the album's title, The Last Word Is Yours to Speak. The band's second studio album, The Last Word Is Yours to Speak was released on July 23, 2013 through Red Cord Records. The album proved to be successful as it gained the band their first charting positions on Billboard, charting on the Top Heatseekers chart and the Christian Albums chart. The album features guest vocals by former Haste the Day member Brennan Chaulk and featured a slight change in sound, with Sean McCulloch's vocals being more clean and less gruff. Also, the album features a strong influence from southern metal, similar to their self-titled EP. Phinehas soon after toured in support of the album. The band was featured on the March Make a Mess Tour! with headliner Close to Home. This tour included stops at South by Southwest and South by So What?! Guitarist Jason Combs left the band in 2014, being replaced by Becoming the Archetype's Daniel Gailey. At the end of 2014, the band announced they would begin working on their third studio album after touring for The Last Word Is Yours to Speak is complete. On February 17, 2015, Phinehas announced they had signed to Artery Recordings after their previous label, Red Cord Records, dissolved into Victory Records. The new album is set to be released on July 10, 2015 and will be titled Till the End. The album's first single, "Dead Choir", was released on May 4. Mare Cognitum is a one-man atmospheric black metal act from the United States. The sole member is Jacob Buczarski, who started the project in 2011, self-releasing his first album, The Sea Which Has Become Known, the same year. The second album An Extraconscious Lucidity was released in 2012 in very limited qunatities via Lunar Meadow Records. Mare Cognitum would later sign a deal with I, Voidhanger Records, which saw a remastered edition of the album receive a wider releases in 2015. In 2013 Mare Cognitum took part in the split release Sol with Spectral Lore. Each band contributed a track each and collaborated on a third. PDV started out as a vision shared by the bassist, Pereira-Man, and vocalist Pradeep. Realizing that they had a common interest in music, they roped in Mithun and Michael on guitars. Later, Niraj joined in as the drummer and PDV was created. They had their first gig opening for the veteran band Naked Earth at Razzberry Rhinoceres (Mumbai). After couple of shows Michael quit due to personal reasons, and has been replaced by Vispy, ex-guitarist of Sceptre. Shortly after forming the guys recruited Gaz Walsh on drums and the original guitarist Evan Iberson! The newly formed line up set to work writing and within 3 months had a set list ready, recorded there first 2 track demo ("Beginnings") and played there first ever show in March 2010. The release of the demo and their debut gigs created a lot buzz and received a lot of attention! 2010 was spent constantly gigging and at the end of that year Plagues had a strong constantly growing fan base and the lads went into the studio to recorded there 5 track EP, "Hopes & Betrayal", which was released in late January 2011! 2011 not only brought a new release from Plagues but also a line up change with the departure of Evan at the end of 2010 and the arrival of Andy Johnson in 2011! On the arrival of Andy, Plagues set out working harder than ever touring the uk and playing bigger and better shows, also recording a music video for "Faint Signals of Hope" (a huge fan favourite and generally very popular song) which was seen on Scuzz! All was bright until August 2011 when Ryan decided to leave the Plagues and played his last show! This hit the band hard but they struggled on and signed up Matt Horsefield on vocal duties! The new Plagues continued along a steady path, gigging and touring, until November 2011 when sadly the band decided to call it a day and part ways!

Official biography: In the summer of 2008 Poison My Blood recorded their first album 'Monuments' at the Rape Of Harmonies studios (Heaven Shall Burn, Misery Speaks, …) in Germany.
