We met at school and used to rehearse in the afternoon instead of doing our homework. The place where we rehearsed was an old house called “Spielhaus” (playhouse) and our only food was beer and bread, which we got from a nearby bakery. In those times, Ron Spielmann und Michael Schmitt from STONEGROUND also used to rehearse at the Spielhaus. We made our first recordings: “Fight for my Life” (our first song) and “Thunder & Lightning”. Later on, Daniel Lösch and Thomas Krämer joined the band and we started to rehearse at the Reichelshof, a farmhouse near Schweinfurt, where other bands also used to rehearse. In 1985 we recorded the black Bloody Climax-album at the studio Hirschfeld with Jürgen Gerner and Hemul Gotzen, not to forget our live-mixer Michael Bäuerlein. (Jürgen Gerner is known for his cooperation with RELAX). In 1987 we went to Hattingen and recorded two songs with Michael Jesch for the Break Out-sampler: “Run for Cover” and “Ride with the Wind”. We had quite a good time in Hattingen. Our singer Matthias was late and had an epileptic fit in the hotel and had to go to hospital. When we called his wife Christine she didn’t believe us and thought we were making fun. It was hard to convince her that he actually was in hospital. Later on we made some recordings in Lüneburg with Ole Seelenmeyer and Birger Holm. Ole is known for his “Bundesrockfestival” and the German Rock- and Pop-prize. The songs from Lüneburg, which are included on this CD, are “Out of Control”, “Flames of Hell” and “Taken by Force”. We tried to get a record deal with Ole’s help, but we didn’t succeed. We only got refusals. We also recorded “Lady of the Night” (a song that Daniel recorded on 4-track long ago) and “Straight from the Heart”. I recorded them together with Matthias at Reichelshof on 4-track with a drum computer - you can hear that clearly in the sound quality. We had a gig at the Haßfurth Ice hockey stadium and wanted to have a magnesium flash (which was quite the fashion then). Matthias ran on stage and waved his hand and the guy at the mixing desk thought this was the sign and fired the flash. I was not very lucky, because at that moment I was standing directly above the place where the flash ignited, and had my arm burned and also my hair. I played on but after the gig I went to hospital, where I was given a dressing-down by the doctor that I didn’t come earlier. We had a gig with the Munich band RAILWAY in Werneck and played a really good show. This show was arranged by “Berti”, who was well known in the scene and worked with famous bands. One day before the “Monsters of Rock” festival in Schweinfurt we played in a tent on the festival grounds, on a stage where Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons would give an interview after our gig. The citizens of Schweinfurt were afraid that lots of metal heads would lay waste to their town and so many bars and pubs were closed. They also wouldn?t let the fans into the festival grounds on the evening before the festival, so that we played in a tent that was only half full. If they had let everyone in, we would have played in a completely full tent. When we complained about this we got a gig as support act for W.A.S.P. at the Serenadenhof in Nuremberg. The guys from WASP seemed to like our music ? Chris Holmes was standing at the side of the stage and was rocking along. But then, eventually, the band broke apart and everyone went on doing their own stuff. Matthias sang in a cover band and was director of the Rockfabrik in Nuremburg for quite some time. Daniel founded the metal band SORROGATE - he recorded some albums with them and is now again very active in his studio. Holger and me played in a cover band named FORROXX, I also played with LANCELOT (also a cover band); now we play in another cover band called ROSEWOULD. I also play together with Thomas with VENDETTA. (Frank Heller, Schweinfurt 2013)
